How we build our cabinets... 

Cabinet Interiors: are built using 1/2" Melamine sides, back, top & bottom panels. All joints including the frame, side panels, back, top & bottom are Datoed for assembly. All finishing is done prior to assembly.

Cabinet Frames: are constructed out of 3/4" hardwood. All face frame joints are screwed or doweled & glued during assembly.

Doors: constructed of solid hardwood, hand picked by Crestwood employees. Stiles & Rails are interlocking members - make up 90% of Crestwood doors.

Hinges: we offer 2 types of hinges, a Blum fully concealed Euro hinges which opens 120 degrees, or a Youngdale hinge which opens 180 degrees.

Drawers: constructed of 1/2" Baltic birch, dovetailed construction. Our standard drawer track is rated to 100 pounds with a self closing mechanism.

 This is just a sample of how we do our basic cabinet, we do many other materials & construction methods depending on the situation or need.

Our Business

At Crestwood we specialize in custom cabinetry. Anywhere from kitchens, baths, entertainment centers, fireplace surrounds, to home office or mudroom lockers.  We also offer cabinet re-facing, millwork finishing, and various types of countertops.

Each kitchen we put into production is as individual as the clients we are creating it for.

We also offer stock or semi-custom cabinetry by Woodland Cabinetry for our price consious clients.

Striving to be a full service business we not only do residential work, but commercial work as well.

We work locally with Red Wing Construction on many new commercial jobs, as well as nursing homes, banks, churches and various other types of buildings needing our products or services.

We also do many jobs for Fairview Red Wing Hospital. We assist them in their many improvements of their facility. Here is a photo of a stair case built to help their patients get in & out of certain equiptment.

We are also not all business at Crestwood we continue to support our community with donations & taking part of local events for the youth.

We also enjoy having fun by participating with local businesses in events, both Lawrence  Bohmbach & Hager City Glass have hosted golf tournements. Which we have had much fun. The photos below are from the Hager City Glass Tourney.

Who We Are -

Meet Our Team

  
    Deane Hinrichs, owner of Crestwood, took over the business from his father Gordon Hinrichs in 1997, after working with him for a few years. Deane has been driven ever since to continue making a quality product, as well as follow some of his fathers philosophies on customer service. He has since grown the business, building a new manufacturing facility in 2000 as well as most recently adding a new showroom in 2007.  You will see Deane on site with measuring, in the office designing, or even out to the shop helping out at times when needed. Having knowledge of all areas of the business helps him better understand how to handle each and every job that comes his way. Deane is an avid hunter, enjoys time with friends and family, and enjoys a round of golf now and then. Deane is married with 2 children.

  Kari Furlong, Office Manager & Designer for Crestwood.  With a background in Interior Design - Kari brings a fresh look into the design aspect of each job. She works with clients to create the layout, brings it to life with CAD drawings & helps coordinate product selections. However, Kari not only works with clients & designs cabinetry - she is the one who will answer the phone & takes care of all of the behind the scene needs, that make Crestwood run.  Kari is married, with 2 children. She enjoys spending time with family & friends, party planning, scrapbooking & of course interior design work.

    Jake HInrichs, Lead Foreman for Crestwood. Jake came to us in 2002,  after getting out of the military . As Deane's nephew and the 3rd generation of HInrichs to work for the business, he is learning every aspect of the business. From running the CNC, running traffic flow in the shop to installing, after many years of learning how to layout parts, build, laminate work and many other specialties. He is a great asset to us with his dedication & ideas he brings to keep Crestwood an up & coming company.  Jake is married with 4 children. He enjoys hunting & fishing.

     Jerome Bauer, Shop Foreman at Crestwood. Jerome brings 30+ years experience to the cabinet industry. He puts things into motion for each job by going over each job with Deane & writing up all the parts and pieces that need to be made -to make your cabinets a reality. He pays attention to detail, and over sees each  area of the shop. Jerome is married to Dorita, has 3 step children & 5 step grand children. He enjoys spending time with family, riding motorcycle, bowling & taking care of his fish in house & outside.

  
      Dorita Bauer, Finishing department. She came to Crestwood in 2002, and brought with her 21 years of experience. She works on millwork, does specialty finishes such as - glazing, distressing, painted, etc.  Not only does she stain or do a special finish on your cabinets, you might see her sanding or putting the doors & drawers on your cabinets! She makes sure everything gets to your job site by over seeing the shipping department as well. Dorita is married to Jerome, she has 3 children & 5 grand children. She is getting close t(6 years) to retirement, unless she wins the lottery. She enjoys spending time with her family, scrapbooking and working in her perenial garden.

   Darryl Larson, Finishing Department. Darryl has been with Crestwood even before Deane took over the business. With over 30 years in the industry has been staining  & sanding cabinets for quite awhile. He is a dedicated employee and we are happy he continues to do great work. Darryl also enjoy volunteering his time at the local Salvation Army.

  Linden Johnson, as a long time family friend of the HInrichs, he came to work for Deane in 2000. He does a variety of jobs such as building cabinet frames & doors, sanding & deliverying cabinets to a jobsite. Linden brings life to the shop with his friendly smile & wonderful personality. He enjoys spending time with his family, farming & watching Nascar.
